Mark 4:17-19

¹⁷Yet have they no root in themselves, and endure but a time: for when trouble and persecution ariseth for the word, immediately they be offended.

¹⁸Also they that receive the seed among the thorns, are such as hear the word:

¹⁹But the cares ^[a]of this world, and the ^(A)deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things enter in, and choke the word, and it is unfruitful.
